My Measuring Cup Runneth Over

What happened to vegan macro experiment? I'll tell you what happened: they were boring to me. Sure, food is fuel, but for me, food is a lot more than that. It's a gesture of love. It's a celebration. It's a work of art. It's time well spent. It's time out of my head.

Yesterday, I read something Sophia Loren said, and it was to the effect of: I'd rather have pizza and red wine than be a size 0. She's right, but I'd rather be making vegan pizza.

Give me the kneading and stirring and mixing and baking and cooking and blending and whirring and chilling and frying!

We have cut back on refined sugar, and we share most of our baked goods, so that's something to be proud of.

Life is more than a measuring cup!

I'm on spring break now, so the cooking list is really heating up. Vegan Cannoli? I'm coming atcha. What about a vegan danish? Why not. A vegan version of Capriotti's "The Bobby" – oh yea.

I kicked off break and St. Paddy's Day with matcha donuts from this recipe by Love and Lemons.

They did not disappoint!
